I am a communications consultant based in the San Diego area. My career and project work has always centered on getting potential customers, prospective business partners, and the media to pay attention to the next new thing: from technology products and services, corporate sponsorship programs, R&D projects, and business deals/mergers/acquisitions, to thought-provoking gallery exhibitions and education initiatives making a real difference in schools.
I have experience working in corporate communications at multinational companies (Philip Morris Management Corp, France Telecom North America), coordinating directly with C-level executives and department leads on external and investor relations. I also managed strategic public relations campaigns (strategy, messaging development, press outreach, event/trade show support) as part of smaller cross-functional marketing/communications teams in a variety of settings, including a boutique tech PR firm and various non-profits on a project basis.
With media platforms continuously changing the way audiences consume information, I believe that the extra attention spent on high-touch relationship building with influencers (business/community partners, media, donors) is the #1 thing that will make your new program, product or service stand out from the rest. That's where I can help.
In addition to consulting, I stay involved in various philanthropic activities, serving on boards in my community. Past and present affiliations:
North County Consortium for Special Education; Encinitas Educational Foundation's Special Education Fund; Rady Children's Hospital Auxiliary; San Diego Regional Center's IEP Day Committee; Philip Morris Employee Fund.
